Why Toto Is Still Relevant In 2024
TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal
The COVID-19 pandemic in the world brought an entirely new routine to people’s daily lives. TOTO utilizes its technology to aid consumers in navigating this New Normal.
Toto’s culture is based on the Kaisen principle which translates to “perfection”. Their latest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET, utilizes advanced sensing technology to aid in consumer health.
Water Sense Technology
The EPA-approved, WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures help conserve water and energy, while providing security and reliability. TOTO USA is proud to be among the first companies to earn a WaterSense label for our EcoPower flush valves and commercial flushometer toilets.
Our Aquia IV Dual-flush Toilet is a great example for an efficient bathroom fixture. It consumes just 1.28 gallons of water per flush. This is less than 1.6 grams required to be in compliance with EPA standards. The Aquia IV also features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology that reduces the frequency of cleaning bowls and the need for additional flushes, further reduces its environmental footprint.
Installing a showerhead that is low-flowing will reduce the amount of water that you use while bathing or washing. Our high-efficiency Showerheads are WaterSense Rated and have the most modern technologies to ensure superior performance.
Limiting the use of water is crucial in a world with frequent water shortages. TOTO’s EcoPower technology, found in our Aquia IV toilet as well as our NEXUS one-piece toilet helps reduce the amount of water we use by using just 1.28 Gallons per flush to remove waste.
TOTO’s elongated WCs are also EPA certified for high efficiency. The toilets with elongated designs have the option of a round basin or an elongated one and an ADA-compliant 17-19 inch height. We also offer an elongated, compact toilet that is ideal for small spaces and only uses 0.9 Gallons per flush.
TOTO’s bidets are among the most sought-after in the market for both home and business use. They are not just more cost-effective than toilet paper, but they also provide a better clean and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The NEXUS Bidet is made using our EWATER+ Technology, which is made by electrolyzing tap water to create a solution containing sodium chloride ions. This creates an effective disinfectant that kills bacteria, virus and other pathogens while leaving your skin and environment, unharmed.
ADA Compliant
When you are looking for an ADA compatible integrated toilet and bidet+ unit You may encounter terminology such as “universal height” and “ADA compliant.” While there is a relationship between the two, it’s important to know that not all universal height toilets are ADA compliant, and vice versa.
The ADA standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act are specifically designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities as well as those with limited mobility or lower body strength. By including these standards into their products, Toto ensures that their customers can get the bathroom experience they desire with the added benefit of ease of use.
TOTO’s ADA-compliant toilets are one-piece construction that instantly beautifies bathrooms and also offers a functional benefit over traditional two-piece designs. By removing the gap between the tank and bowl TOTO’s one-piece designs facilitate cleaning by preventing the buildup of dirt and other debris. TOTO’s Eco UltraMax toilets also feature an efficient, water-saving flushing system. These toilets are water efficient and use less than 1.28 gallons of water per flush.
One-Piece and Two Piece Designs
Many who have traveled to Japan have praised the ease and comfort of the Toto toilets they used when they are there. Toto toilets are Japanese models that feature an all-in-one design that combines the tank and bowl. These toilets are easily cleaned and can be placed in small spaces. They are also extremely robust and can last for many years.
The group Toto began in the early 1970s, after members performed session work for a number of renowned musicians. Keyboardist David Paich and drummers Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro as well as bassist Joseph Williams were all regular contributors to albums of Steely Dan[73], Seals and Crofts[74], Boz Scaggs[75], and Sonny and Cher.
Some of the members also have solo work. In 1978, Bobby Kimball released an album titled From the Inside. Steve Lukather released a second album titled Luke. David Paich and Joe Porcaro also recorded an album featuring jazz pianist Miles Davis.
In addition to their music, Toto has done a significant amount of touring throughout the years. In February of 2018 they released their 40 Trips Around The Sun anniversary album and embarked upon a world tour to promote it.
The central element of TOTO’s Total Design principle is taking into consideration the needs of people of all ages and abilities. They have a wide selection of Universal Height toilets and sinks that are more accessible for anyone to reach, including those with mobility issues. The WASHLET+ line of bidets has transformed the toilet experience from wiping to a stream of water. Many people are turning to this superior alternative.
Noise Reduction
In the United States bathrooms are often located near bedrooms. Therefore, toilets that are quiet are very popular. TOTO’s Washlet, a bidet chair with an electric motor, is a fantastic way to achieve this. By combining a rimless bowl that uses relatively little water with an impressive spray of warm air that cleanses and dries the skin, TOTO’s toilets have been described as “magical.”
The humble toilet is highly valued in Japan which is one of the countries that is devoted to its technological achievements. Those qualities come together in the Toilet Museum of Japan, which opened in 1999 and was created to encourage people to think different about their toilet habits. The museum employs a poop-powered motorcycle to emphasize the fact that TOTO products are both effective and environmentally friendly.
The museum also features the company’s history of innovation, from the first flush all the way to the aeration toilet that uses less water and reduces waste by 90 percent. The Washlet is also featured in this area. It makes use of jets to clean and dry the user, while masking embarrassing sounds from the toilet using the sound of birds chirping.
Before beginning to form Toto members, such as bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro played on albums by famous artists like Steely Dan Seals and Crofts Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. Keyboardist David Paich was a regular session musician for artists like the Eagles, Larry Carlton, and Quincy Jones.
In the years that followed Toto’s debut album, the band was struggling to make a name for themselves and went through a string of member changes. Hungate ended up leaving the band to pursue an independent career as an artist in Nashville in 1980. His decision was prompted by a lack of time for his family and a rising drug addiction. The band’s ultimate success was based on Lukather and Steve Porcaro.
Comfort
TOTO toilets have been constructed with comfort at the forefront. They are equipped with many features that make bathroom use more enjoyable. For instance, they have heated seats that help to keep the user warm. For added convenience, they also have automatic lids that open and close. They also have self-cleaning technologies which keep the toilets clean and fresh.
When shopping for a TOTO toilet it is essential to know what to look for. There are numerous models to choose from, Totopia KR so it is essential to choose one that comes with all the features you need. You will need the model number and the SKU of the toilet to accomplish this. This information is available on the product packaging or online.

David Paich, Steve Lukather and David Hungate, along with drummer Jeff Porcaro, were regular contributors to albums of Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. They also contributed to Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. In 1980 they formed Toto along with singer/songwriter Joseph Williams.
The band began their extensive tour following the release of Toto IV. In 1985 the vocalist Fergie Frederiksen was fired due to the fact that she was said to have a difficult to get along with the rest of the group. Toto released Fahrenheit in 1986, the year following the release of Fahrenheit.
The album was an artistic departure for the group, incorporating elements of jazz and gospel. It was not an immediate commercial success in North America, but did well in Japan.
