The Buyer Merchandiser is responsible for sourcing clients/customers who require garment stitching or finishing services (“job work”). The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating production timelines, and ensuring high-quality garment output according to customer specifications.

Salary Range:
50,000 – 70,000 a month
Roles and Responsibilities:
Client Sourcing & Business Development:1.
Identify and approach brands, wholesalers, exporters, retailers, who require stitching or garment production services.
Develop a strong client database and consistently generate new business leads.
Understand client requirements in detail (design, quantity, fabric type, timelines, finishing needs).
Order Management:
Finalize job work orders, negotiate rates, and confirm terms & conditions.
Prepare job work agreements/work orders with clear specifications.
Production Coordination:
Communicate client requirements effectively to the production team (patterns, samples, stitching quality, timelines).
Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Resolve issues related to quality, delays, or customer feedback promptly.
Costing & Negotiations:
Calculate job work charges based on garment type, complexity, and volume.
Negotiate competitive prices while maintaining margins.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain long-term relationships with clients by ensuring high service levels and satisfaction.
Provide after-sales support including handling complaints, rework if needed, and feedback collection.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer demands.
Recommend improvements in service offerings based on market intelligence
