Position Description
IIM Ahmedabad seeks a Research Associate (RA) to work closely with Prof. Sunil
Sharma on case writing and case based/qualitative research focused on strategy
implementation and Professional Service Firms. Interested candidates should have an
ability to read and analyze research papers/business reports on strategy, organisation,
and industry.

The RA will conduct relevant literature review, interviews, and synthesize
data into a coherent written material in the form of a case, article, consulting report, or
a journal article.
Primary Duties include:
Literature review and research theme identification based on academic journals
and industry reports
Build questionnaires and conduct interviews with employees of a company
including senior leaders
Analyze and synthesize quantitative data with qualitative interview data
Develop original academic writing such as a case study/research
article/consulting report

Basic Qualifications and skills
Masters degree in any management or affiliated field or Bachelors degree with
exceptional track record
Proficiency in analyzing qualitative data and familiarity with quantitative data

Job requirements
This position will initially be offered for a period of nine months and may be extended
for an additional six-nine months depending on performance. This is a full-time position
at IIM Ahmedabad. IIMA provides access to the library and computer center for all
Research Assistants. If selected, the candidate is expected to manage their own
accommodation, outside the IIMA campus which is centrally located within the city of
Surat
In exceptional cases, the candidate may be allowed to work remotely but will be
expected to visit Surat or travel within India for conducting interviews as and
when required.
Salary:
Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience, following the
guidelines set by IIM Ahmedabad.
