Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the RMC plant, ensuring all processes are running efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor the production of ready-mix concrete, ensuring that it meets the required specifications and standards.
- Ensure the timely dispatch of concrete to customers, meeting project deadlines.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that the quality of the concrete meets the specifications and standards required by the project and industry.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to perform tests on the materials (aggregates, cement, etc.) and the concrete produced.
- Implement corrective actions when deviations from quality standards are identified.
- Staff and Resource Management:
- Supervise, train, and manage plant staff, including operators, technicians, and other personnel.
- Ensure that the plant has adequate manpower, resources, and equipment to meet production goals.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure proper shift management and availability of resources.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the inventory of raw materials like cement, aggregates, and admixtures.
- Ensure smooth procurement and timely supply of materials to avoid production delays.
- Manage storage, handling, and distribution of raw materials in compliance with safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training programs for staff.
- Monitor plant equipment for any safety hazards, and ensure that all maintenance is carried out regularly.
- Customer Relations and Order Management:
- Coordinate with sales and project management teams to understand customer requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Address customer complaints or concerns regarding the quality of concrete or delivery timelines.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the budget for plant operations, ensuring that costs are kept under control.
- Monitor production costs, identify cost-saving measures, and report on the financial performance of the plant.
- Maintenance and Equipment Management:
- Oversee the regular maintenance of plant machinery and equipment to ensure it operates efficiently.
- Manage the maintenance schedule, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of the plant.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain daily production and operational reports.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and highlight any challenges or issues in plant operations.
